Key Aspects Of The Masterplan

Ecology

The majority of existing habitats on the site will be retained. Moreover, the introduction of new soft landscaping in the form of green corridors will create a net gain in habitats. Furthermore, a range of specific measures are proposed for protected species such as nesting birds. Please see pages 54-55.

It is the purpose of these measures to ensure the construction of the scheme leads to an overall net gain in biodiversity on the site.

The SANG will provide opportunity for new residents to have access to multi functional recreational space within the local area. Dog walking routes will be provided within, and around the site, alongside a destination play space and exercise equipment

Ecology

SCC seeks to ensure at least a 10% bio diversity net gain across all development sites.
